By Starlight and Flame
In a moment of whimsy and heavy feelsing, I went from making my Samhain portrait, to doing one of Fin.
That wasn't enough however, so I did a couples portrait, and I was so incredibly happy with it.
For Fin, at the turning of the year, with so much sacred love
In the hush of Samhain twilight,
I choose you again
not just in this moment,
but in every world, every life,
where the stars remember our names.
Your hand in mine,
your heart beside mine
this is the spell I’d cast a thousand times over.
And every time, it would still be you.
That wasn't enough however, so I did a couples portrait, and I was so incredibly happy with it.
For Fin, at the turning of the year, with so much sacred love
In the hush of Samhain twilight,
I choose you again
not just in this moment,
but in every world, every life,
where the stars remember our names.
Your hand in mine,
your heart beside mine
this is the spell I’d cast a thousand times over.
And every time, it would still be you.
For us eternally, bound at the turning of the veil
By starlight and flame, we stand hand to hand,
As leaf and root entwine through sacred land.
The veil grows thin, the winds grow still
Yet love burns bright, as ever it will.
Your gaze, a lantern through the mist,
My soul, the cord your fingers kissed.
Bound not by fate, but by our will,
A promise whispered, soft and still.
Ravens call and stags draw near,
Ancestors watching, ever clear.
The earth remembers, the sky refrains
And love like ours forever remains.
