Kissing in the Rain

Lightning cuts the sky,
our lips meet in fierce stillness,
rain drums all around.

Arms cling, bodies warm,
shadows blur in silver light,
the storm bends to us.

Clouds surrender flame,
a horizon split with hope,
new light in the rain.
