Let Me Be Your Bonfire
[September 2025]
Every flame needs air to flourish.
All shadows need light to show themselves.
No flower can bloom without rainfall.
So let me be your guide.
Balance is my spirit-
my form and guide.
So let me be your Bonfire.
Not just heat in the night,
but warmth when the cold settles in your bones.
A steady blaze—never wild enough to burn you,
but fierce enough to keep the dark away.
When your doubts creep in like frost at dawn,
I’ll crackle louder,
chasing them off with sparks made of memory,
with stories we’ve told,
with the laughter we’ve shared.
Let me burn not at you,
but for you--
a promise in flame,
a glow that wraps you up when the world forgets how to be kind.
When you are tired,
when the weight of everything is just too much--
come closer.
Sit beside me.
Let my fire curl around you, no questions asked.
Because love is not just the light,
but the warmth it gives.
And I would be your Bonfire,
again and again,
if only to see the peace in your eyes
when you realize you’re finally home.
All shadows need light to show themselves.
No flower can bloom without rainfall.
So let me be your guide.
Balance is my spirit-
my form and guide.
So let me be your Bonfire.
Not just heat in the night,
but warmth when the cold settles in your bones.
