Life Begins Again
Ashes cloak the ground,
the silence heavy with loss,
yet from broken stone,
a tender light pushes through--
a breath that will not be crushed.
Shadows still linger,
ghosts of what was left behind,
but the air trembles,
a single green pulse of life
refusing to bow to death.
From ruin’s hollow,
color blooms against the dark,
soft defiance shines,
a promise that even here
life begins again, anew.
In your arms I find
the roots of all that still grows,
love’s flame unyielding,
through wreckage it carries us,
life begins again with you.
the silence heavy with loss,
yet from broken stone,
a tender light pushes through--
a breath that will not be crushed.
Shadows still linger,
ghosts of what was left behind,
but the air trembles,
a single green pulse of life
refusing to bow to death.
From ruin’s hollow,
color blooms against the dark,
soft defiance shines,
a promise that even here
life begins again, anew.
In your arms I find
the roots of all that still grows,
love’s flame unyielding,
through wreckage it carries us,
life begins again with you.
