A Song of Passion and Flame

My Way - Bitch

[to the tune of "My Way" by Frank Sinatra]

I was born in a storm, with a father so cold,
A mother who’d never let my story be told.
Bullied in school, felt like I’d never belong,
But I kept on fighting, kept proving them wrong.

Held up at gunpoint, saw the eyes of death,
And a car accident nearly took my last breath.
Seven years married, to someone so cruel,
But I packed up and left, no longer his fool.

Through every heartbreak, every painful blow,
I rose from the ashes, my spirit would grow.
They tried to break me, but they didn’t know,
I’m a phoenix, I always rise and glow.

I did it my way,
Surviving the pain, the night and the day.
Through each violent reset, I fought through the strife,
I built myself up, I reclaimed my life.
I did it my way.

Back home after leaving, my stepfather’s threats,
But I moved out with courage, no more regrets.
Lived with my best friend, close to the edge,
Then COVID hit hard, life pushed me to the ledge.

But I didn’t break, I fought for the light,
Even with stalkers who haunted the night.
Harassed in fandom, people tried to make me small,
But I stood tall, I refused to fall.

Through all the chaos, all the despair,
I found my strength in the air that I share.
They thought I’d crumble, but they don’t care,
I’m a phoenix, and I’ll always rise from despair.

I did it my way,
Surviving the pain, the night and the day.
Through each violent reset, I fought through the strife,
I built myself up, I reclaimed my life.
I did it my way.

Some ask me why I believe in Hashem,
With all I’ve endured, all the mess I’ve been in.
My answer is simple, it’s the truth I can say,
Why wouldn’t I trust, when I’ve survived this way?

I did it my way,
Surviving the pain, the night and the day.
Through each violent reset, I fought through the strife,
I built myself up, I reclaimed my life.
I did it my way.

Aurë entuluva, my motto to keep,
"Day will come again," through the hardest of weeks.
I don’t take any shit anymore,
I'm stronger than ever, you can’t ignore.

I did it my way.
