A Song of Passion and Flame

Stantes Superbus Et Erectus

They speak of law as chains upon the will,
Yet I have sworn to shield what I hold dear.
No scroll or crown decides what must be done--
My blade burns for the hearts that burn with mine.

A rebel soul, I do not bow or beg.
The temple doors stay shut to those like me,
But justice isn’t written, it is lived,
And I have carved its shape in searing flame.

Let tyrants tremble when they hear my name.
My sword is wrath for those who threaten love.
No banner flies above the ones I guard--
I fight unbound, but never without cause.
