The Hug Express [July 2025]
(A bedtime story for soft hearts and sleepy souls)
In the land of Starwhimsy, where clouds taste like marshmallow dreams and rainbows hum lullabies, there exists a magical train known only to the kindest hearts: The Hug Express.
Painted in pastel blues and cotton-candy pinks, it rolls gently through the skies on glowing rainbow tracks. Its engine puffs out sleepy stardust, and its horn sings a soft “toot toot!” that sounds suspiciously like a giggle wrapped in a blanket.
Each night, as the stars begin to twinkle and yawn, the Care Bears gather on the station platform made of soft moonflakes. Tenderheart checks his list, Cheer Bear waves a rainbow flag, and Grumpy… well, Grumpy’s pretending not to cry, but everyone saw him pack extra cocoa for the ride.
“All aboard!” calls Bedtime Bear from the engine room, wearing a conductor’s cap slightly too big and extremely adorable.
The doors swoosh open and in hop bears of all colors, some sleepy, some excited, and one who brought a plushie shaped like a cookie and won’t explain why. They all find their seats, big plush hearts that hug you back, and tuck in for the ride.
As The Hug Express glides through pink fog and starlight, little clouds whisper affirmations at the windows:
“You’re doing great.”
“You are so special.”
“Take a deep breath… there you go…”
Inside, Wish Bear softly strums a lullaby on a moon-shaped ukulele. Share Bear hands out warm snuggleberry tea. And Love-a-Lot Bear passes a cuddly basket of mini cloud kittens for anyone who needs a nap buddy.
Soon, the cabin lights dim, glowing soft lavender and gold. The bears curl up in little piles of fuzzy affection, sighing happily as the train hums a gentle rhythm beneath them.
Outside, the night wraps around the train like a warm hug. Shooting stars wave as it passes. The moon gives a little wink.
And if you listen closely, you’ll hear the sound of a hundred tiny heartbeats, dreaming peacefully together.
